PB Design offer a wide range of DC standby systems:
- Battery tripping unit – power assurance for safe operation, always there when required
- Telecoms – communication assurance for constant communication to the substation assets
- SCADA – status and control assurance for safe operation
In addition, we offer DC distribution boards and auto-disconnectors.
Our products are designed to meet your application needs with the correct battery sizing and distribution ways. Our product offering ranges from 2A up to 300A. For added peace of mind, dual charger capability with our thyristor chargers is offered. Our N+1 configuration provides redundancy for our switchmode chargers.
For larger systems, or where distribution is external to the charger, we can design distribution boards, both wall-mounted and floor-mounted, to meet your application needs.

We understand that the DC supply is critical to the efficient and safe operation of your substation. For that reason, we have only partnered with the leading suppliers of industrial batteries. We are able to offer a full range of replacement batteries from suppliers such as Enersys, Yuasa and Fiamm.
